Robert Ward, a career bureaucrat and liberal activist, has resigned as Dean of the University of Massachusetts Law School following a credit card controversy. Ward admitted to having made thousands of dollars of personal purchases on his university issued credit card, at a time of skyrocketing tuition costs that force students to take out student loans they have difficulty repaying. Multiple sources said he had used the card to pay for family travel. Apparently Ward felt he was entitled to even more money on top of his salary of $200,000 per year.
